What is care label?
A care label is the small printed label — usually satin or taffeta — sewn into the side seam that states the fibre composition, the washing and care instructions, and the country of origin. In most export markets some or all of this is required by law, and the wording varies by country.
Why it matters
It is compliance: the US requires fibre content and origin and an importer identity; Canada requires bilingual content; the EU requires composition in the local language; the Gulf requires Arabic. Getting it right is part of exporting.
