Proximity first. Most apparel sold in the UAE is made in China, Bangladesh or India and takes two to five weeks to arrive. From Lahore it is two to three days by air and about a week by sea to Jebel Ali — which means a restaurant group opening a new branch, or an agency with an event in three weeks, can order from a factory rather than a stockist and still make the date.

Then the cotton. Pakistan grows and knits it, and the UAE's climate wants it: breathable 180–200 gsm ring-spun tees and 220 gsm piqué polos for staff who work outdoors, alongside heavyweight streetwear for the brands selling to a younger Gulf market that has taken to 270 gsm boxy tees and 500 gsm hoodies as enthusiastically as anywhere.

And the relationship. Many UAE businesses are run by people with family in Pakistan, who already know what Faisalabad and Lahore make. Ordering direct from a factory with a 50-piece minimum — rather than through a Deira trader marking up a catalogue blank — is a small step that saves 30–40% and gets a garment that is actually yours.

Uniforms are the largest category — hotel and restaurant groups, retail chains, clinics, delivery fleets, facilities companies — in breathable poly-cotton and piqué, embroidered by department, in the volumes a multi-outlet business needs. Then streetwear and fashion labels based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi: heavyweight tees, hoodies, caps, drops across the stock colour range. Then events and promotion — Expo-scale activations down to a single conference — where the run is large and the date is fixed. Then gym and activewear for the fitness-club scene.

Every method is in-house, so a hotel's order — embroidered polos for the front desk, printed tees for the pool staff, caps for valet — is one order and one delivery to the loading dock.

The UAE applies the GCC common external tariff of 5% on the CIF value of garments, and VAT at 5% on top; both are stated per piece on your quote. Because the dirham is pegged to the dollar, a quote in USD and a quote in AED are the same price, and we invoice in whichever your accounts prefer. If your goods are going into a free zone for re-export to the wider Gulf, duty is suspended until they enter the mainland, and we document the consignment accordingly.

Sea freight from Karachi to Jebel Ali is one of the shortest lanes in the world — under a week port to port — and it makes sense from a couple of hundred pieces. Air is the default for anything urgent, and it is genuinely two to three days: dispatched Monday, delivered Wednesday.

UAE regulations require the garment's fibre composition, country of origin, size and care instructions on a permanent label, in Arabic — with English alongside, which is how every brand does it. We print the bilingual satin label at the side seam and sew your woven brand label at the neck. For uniforms, the brand label is often the client's logo rather than a fashion label; either is the same to us.

If your garments will be sold through UAE retail rather than worn by staff, the same labelling applies with the retailer's barcode on the hangtag. We hold the Arabic wording for every fibre blend we produce and for the standard care instructions; you supply the brand name and, where needed, the Arabic rendering of it.

UAE retail uses a mix of US and European sizing, and uniform orders are usually specified by measurement rather than letter. Our blocks are graded to whichever you sell in and labelled with your chart, and for uniform orders we take a measurement list per employee and cut to a size breakdown with spares. Modest cuts — longer bodies, longer sleeves, higher necklines — are a standard variant on our blocks for the Gulf, not a custom job. A size-set sample precedes any cut-and-sew run.

Quotes are in US dollars or dirhams; invoices are paid by bank transfer from any UAE bank, and the peg means there is no exchange risk either way. A production deposit is taken before the sample is made and the balance before dispatch; nothing is charged before you have a price and have approved a mockup in writing. A pre-production sample is produced free with any production order once the deposit is received. A sample before committing to production is possible and charged, typically $40–100 for a decorated garment, credited against the bulk order.
