Clothing manufacturer in Pakistan for German and EU brands

The duty is the headline. Under the EU's GSP+ arrangement, Pakistani garments that meet the rules of origin — fabric knitted and garment made in Pakistan, which ours are — enter every EU member state at 0% duty. A comparable garment from China or Vietnam pays 12%; from Bangladesh, 0% but at a 300-piece minimum from a factory you will never speak to directly. Lahore combines the duty-free rate with a 50-piece minimum and a factory you can call.

The fabric is the second reason, and it is the one German buyers ask about most carefully: 100% ring-spun Pakistani cotton in 200 and 270 gsm jersey and 500 gsm brushed-back fleece, compacted, with the mill and the dye house named on request, and organic or BCI cotton available for private-label runs. OEKO-TEX certified fabric is available on request for brands that require it.

The third is the price: a 270 gsm tee around $10–14 to make, a 500 gsm hoodie around $31 with a print, at 50 pieces — roughly half a Portuguese equivalent — landed with no duty and VAT recoverable. For a brand selling a €45 tee in Germany, that is the whole margin.

Streetwear and fashion labels in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Copenhagen: heavyweight boxy tees, 500 gsm hoodies, drops across the stock colour range, caps. Gym and athleisure brands — the German fitness scene is a large source of orders — in French terry and poly-spandex. Then the corporate and hospitality uniform buyers, the event agencies and festival merchandisers, and universities and clubs, in larger and plainer runs.

All decoration methods are in-house, and the labelling for any EU language is on file, so a brand selling in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands from one warehouse gets one label that covers all three.

GSP+ preference is claimed at import with a statement on origin from the exporter — registered in the EU's REX system — on the commercial invoice. We are registered, the statement is on every EU invoice we issue, and the goods qualify because both the knitting and the making-up happen in Pakistan. Without the statement, the standard 12% rate applies; with it, 0%. Your customs broker, or the courier acting as one, claims it on the declaration.

VAT is separate and applies whatever the origin: 19% in Germany, 21% in the Netherlands, 20% in Austria, on the customs value at import. If you are VAT-registered you recover it on your return, so for most brands it is cash flow rather than cost. Your quote sets out both the duty position and the VAT amount for your member state.

Air express reaches Berlin, Hamburg, Munich or Frankfurt in four to seven days and is the default for first orders. Sea freight to Hamburg or Rotterdam is a month port to port and worth it from a few hundred pieces; for brands using an EU 3PL in the Netherlands, Rotterdam is often the better port.

Regulation (EU) 1007/2011 requires the fibre composition on a permanent label in the official language of the member state where the garment is sold — "100% Baumwolle" in Germany, "100% katoen" in the Netherlands — using the regulation's fibre names and percentages. Country of origin is not required by the regulation but is expected by customs and shown by every serious brand; care symbols follow GINETEX. We print all of it on the satin side-seam label in whichever languages your markets need, and sew your woven brand label at the neck.

Since December 2024 the General Product Safety Regulation also requires that a consumer product sold in the EU carry the name and postal address of the manufacturer and, where the manufacturer is outside the EU, of the EU responsible economic operator — normally the importing brand or its authorised representative. That means your company name and EU address on the label or the packaging. You supply it; we print it, on the care label or a hangtag, so the garment is compliant the day it lands. We hold the fibre-name wording for every EU language and every blend we produce.

EU alpha sizes run a step slimmer than US sizes, and German buyers in particular expect the measurement chart to be accurate to the centimetre. Our blocks are graded in centimetres to EU chest and length conventions and labelled with your chart; a size-set sample is standard before any cut-and-sew run and we wash-test it so the published measurements hold after laundering. Send a garment whose fit sells and we pattern from it; send your own grading and we cut to it.

Quotes are in US dollars as standard and in euros on request; invoices are paid by SEPA-to-international transfer or through a multi-currency account. A production deposit is taken before the sample is made and the balance before dispatch; nothing is charged before you have a price and have approved a mockup in writing. A pre-production sample is produced free with any production order once the deposit is received. A sample before committing to production is possible and charged, typically $40–100 for a decorated garment, credited against the bulk order.
