What is bill of materials?
A bill of materials — BOM — is the list of everything a garment is made of: body fabric with composition and weight, rib, thread, zips, drawcords, eyelets, interfacing, labels, hangtags, polybags, cartons. Each line carries a specification or supplier reference.
Why it matters
It is what the factory sources from. A BOM that says '500 gsm brushed-back cotton fleece, 1×1 rib, YKK #5 zip, woven label per artwork' gets the right hoodie; one that says 'hoodie fabric' gets a guess.
