What is stitch count?
Stitch count is the number of stitches the machine makes to embroider a design — set by the design's size, its density, and how much of it is filled. A small text logo might be 3,000 stitches; a dense 10-centimetre crest 15,000. It is the main driver of embroidery cost per piece, because it is machine time.
Why it matters
Two logos the same size can differ threefold in stitch count if one is outlined and one is filled. Simplifying a design is the cheapest way to lower embroidery cost.
