Do you work with new brands that have never manufactured before?

Yes — most of our private-label customers came to us as first-time brands with a logo, a garment they liked and a quantity in mind. You do not need a tech pack, a factory contact or any manufacturing vocabulary. You need a garment, an artwork file and a rough number; we build the specification with you, show you a mockup before anything is made and a sample before bulk, and the minimum is 50 pieces.

A first order, in practice

This is how it usually goes for a brand that has never ordered from a factory.

  1. You send what you have

A logo — a JPG is fine to start — a photo of a garment whose fit you like, and roughly how many. Any date.

  2. We come back with a real price

Per piece, for the garment as specified, with the setup shown separately, usually within 24 hours. And a mockup on the garment.

  3. You choose the blank and the method

We recommend from your artwork and budget — a 270 gsm tee with a DTF print, say, or an embroidered 500 gsm hoodie — and show both prices if it is close.

  4. Deposit, then the sample

The real garment, your label in it, photographed or couriered. You change what needs changing; nothing is cut until you approve it.

  5. Production and delivery

7–10 days for decorated stock garments, then courier. A first drop of 50 tees and 50 hoodies is a real order here, not a favour.

  6. The second order

Your pattern, artwork and labels are on file. A reorder skips sampling and setup; a new colourway needs only a lab dip.

What first-time brands get wrong, and how we head it off

Choosing the blank on price rather than weight — the garment is what the customer keeps, and a 270 gsm tee sells where a 160 does not. Ordering five styles at the minimum instead of two styles at 100 — the setup is paid five times and every run sits at the top of the price curve. Skipping the sample. Guessing the size mix. We raise each of these at quote stage, because a first order that goes well is the one that turns into a second.

What it costs to start

Fifty heavyweight tees with a single print and a woven neck label is around $850–950 in manufacturing at the 50-piece minimum from our current rate sheet, plus a sample and shipping. A serious first drop of two garments from a real factory is a $1,000–3,500 commitment, not $15,000 — and the calculator on this site prices any combination live.

Related questions

Do I need a business or a registered brand?
Not to order. For export markets that require an importer identity on the label — the US, Canada, the EU — a company name is needed by dispatch.
Do you help with design?
With the garment specification, the decoration choice and the artwork preparation, yes. Brand and design direction are yours.
Can I start with fewer than 50?
Print on demand on selected stock items from one piece, to test; a 50-piece run when you are ready.
Will you tell me if my idea will not work?
Yes — at mockup stage if we can see it coming. We would rather lose an order than make a bad one.
