Do you make the garments yourselves, or subcontract?
Ourselves. We are a third-generation garment manufacturer based in Lahore, and we cut, sew, print, embroider and finish in our own unit rather than subcontracting. The people who quote your order, sample it and answer your messages are the people who make it, which is why a quote can be a real figure rather than a range and why a sample can be remade in days rather than weeks.
What that means for your order
One roof: fabric comes in, is relaxed, marked and cut, decorated flat, sewn, labelled, inspected, packed and dispatched without leaving the building. There is no print shop across town whose schedule we are waiting on, no embroidery subcontractor whose thread stock is not ours, no finishing unit re-inspecting someone else's work. When a strike-off is wrong, it is fixed on the press downstairs; when a sample needs a longer body, the pattern is changed the same afternoon.
What is not ours
The fabric. Cotton is grown in Punjab, spun and knitted at mills near Faisalabad — a few hours away — and we buy it to specification by the roll, checked on arrival for weight and shade. Dyeing to a custom colour is done at the mill, to order, which is why a custom dye lot has its own minimum and lead time. Everything after the roll is ours.
Why it matters more than it sounds
Most 'manufacturers' a brand finds online are agents or print shops who buy a blank and decorate it, or traders who place the order with a factory they do not control. Nothing wrong with either, until something goes wrong — and then the answer to 'when will it be fixed' depends on someone who is not on the call. A factory you can visit, that makes the garment from the roll, is a different relationship.
