Do I need a tech pack to order?

Enough to quote and to make a mockup: the garment you want, roughly how many, how you want it decorated, and any date. A garment you like the fit of — yours or anyone's — is the single most useful thing you can send for cut-and-sew, because we can measure it and pattern from it. For decorated stock garments, the artwork and the placement are what matter.

From there the specification is built in the conversation: fabric weight and fit settled at mockup stage, colour as a Pantone reference or a stock swatch, sizes as a breakdown, labels and packing as a list. By the time the sample is approved, every one of those is written down — which is what a tech pack is.

For a cut-and-sew garment with a specific fit, a tech pack removes guessing: measurements per size with tolerances, construction details, artwork placement measured from a seam. Brands that have one get a sample that is right first time more often. Brands that do not get there in one extra round. Neither is wrong; the tech pack is a time-saver, not a requirement.
